A cowrite with Peter Matsa. Thank you Peter for an enriching writing experience!
I am from a land beyond
the Land of Explorers
My soul mate and I explored the unknown
We shared the discoveries of our journeys
with those that were willing to listen
each time we returned back to our land
until that heart-numbing day
that changed it all . . .
I have something more to share
Will you listen?
Expelled from the Land of Glory
I now reside inside this world
The Land of Light
Floating spheres of darkness exist here
Within these spheres of darkness
red dragons cry . . .
when their tears fall like silent rain
I strive to capture them
Each time I capture a dragon tear
mirrored upon its surface
I see the image of myself on that day
the day of my greatest sorrow
the day my soul mate expelled me from the Land of Glory
that heart-numbing day when he came to be
the Master of Pride and Glory
The day I had a choice
Help him swallow his Pride
Or leave
But, if I did , If I forced him to swallow his Pride
the land would cease to exist
the other dimensions would collapse
the people would stop chasing perfection
Stop continuing the circle of evolution . . .
Ta panta rei . . .
So I allowed him to expel me from his land
the Land of Pride and glory
He had fulfilled his destiny
and felt at peace with himself
Now, here I am, in the Land of Light
capturing dragons tears,
guiding souls . . .
If you wish to see this place
Close your eyes
Take a slow deep breath
Fly inside your mind
Then fly beyond to the Land of Light ~
Here, red dragons cry
But no one hears when their tears fall
inside the floating spheres of darkness
Catch a glimpse of this breathtaking sight
Bear witness . . .
Place your ear to the ground and you will hear the sound
of thousands of reindeer running through the forest.
Carefully, carefully place your hands on the ground
feel the vibration of untamed rivers.
Hear also the soothing song of the old man
who has climbed to the top of the mountain
who guards the cave of thoughts.
No, you may not enter the cave now.
You must first climb the mountain alone.
No, dreams of lucid perfection cannot enter the cave
You must dare to hold your breath
and hear the silent heartbreaking cry of the red dragons
If your heart can beat as one with the dragons
then and only then will you hear your heart
whispering it's desire.
When and if you do so, a dragon's tear will enter the center of your heart. If you can then sit next to the old man and sing the soothing song that brings balance to the universe. Then and only then will you be granted access to the cave of thoughts. Then and only then may you enter the realm where dreams come to life
Otherwise you will wander aimlessly
screaming and crying
and become a red dragon . . .
* As you have noticed the title is partially written in another language, Lule sami, one estimate is that around 500 people speak Lule Sami. A beautiful language and culture that I came in contact with while writing this poem together with Peter Matsa. For more info please visit:

The youtube music link will give you a chance to experience the sami language. A beautiful song.
